30+ inspirational images for vision boards, goal setting, reset 2023.
This is my first post of 2023, and I’m excited to see what this year has for us in store. As every year, I have goals and motivation. Something that helps me stick to my goals and be motivated all year long are vision boards and referring to my goals. Using vision boards really help me recap and think about my year at the end of the year.
What is a vision board?
A collage of images that represent your goals, intended to serve as motivation.
For example, I have a vision board for this current school year and looking back on it after first semester, I was surprised to see how many pins and images have come true in just those six months. I think that’s the power of a vision board. Because you subconsciously manifest or ask the universe in of a sense for this certain thing. It could be money, it could be education, it could be motivation to go to the gym, it could be starting a new business or hitting milestones.
When you realize what you want it helps you a lot more with achieving that goal. I talk about this a lot on my newsletter if you want to join you can sign up right here or in the sign up at the end of this post.
I’ve watched a lot of videos on vision boards and resetting for 2023, I have listed some podcast episodes by my favorite podcaster Trinity Tondeleir from the Wellness Cafe. And referring back to my initial example for my Semester One Pinterest board, it was clear that most of the pins came true. Even when for a few months I did not even look at that Pinterest board. But I was still thinking about my goals in the past few months, both subconsciously and consciously. This led to taking actions to achieve these goals, the normally I wouldn’t have done.
I really appreciate how accessible Pinterest is. It’s so useful for imagining or just planning some thing visually. If you’re not a fan of Pinterest or you don’t have Pinterest, you can always create an album with these images. You can make them your wallpaper and you can make them widgets for your phone home screen. In this post, I have included a lot of categories from eating healthy to financial goals. I hope you are inspired by the images I have included in this post, I know just from writing this post I feel a lot more motivated than I was to complete my goals.
After creating a vision board I feel more organized about my goals, because I now know what I want and there’s a visual image of what I want in my head. I feel like when you write down what you want, like your goals, you don’t really achieve them as much. Compared to imagining yourself as the person you are working towards being. You could write down, “go to the gym this many times”. You can write down “get these many videos or blog posts out”. You can write down all these things, but until you really do accept the fact that you can be this person.
Without thinking that this life is so far away and you have all year to complete it so you don’t have to start now. But thinking this will just damage your discipline. Because if you work believing your goal isn’t completely unmanageable to do in a couple of months, you’ll do more than what you would’ve done if you didn’t believe that.
If you don’t use like visual images to see what you could’ve done or what you will do you’re kind of just leaving it there. To float with no real direction. For example, I have a lot of ripped up papers with goals for October, November, December, I have goals for 2022 somewhere, but they just stayed there.
Until the start of August 2022 I never really started visualizing my goals as much as I did during that time. I added a lot of pins about good grades and I noticed later a lot of it came true, And don’t misunderstand me by thinking “oh if I add it it’s gonna become true”. That’s not how it works, you have to obviously work for it. You have to put in the work and you have to act and be disciplined for these goals.
However it is a lot easier to be disciplined and have more motivation when you know what you’re working for and when you believe that what you’re working for is achievable. Some other pins were relationship wise or food wise or working out, and I have been doing that. I’ve been watching my sugar intake, and making sure I regularly move my body, understanding and taking the time to think about what I’m doing to my body and what I’m putting in my body. Anyways, I hope this helped with vision boards and their use.

The only way I’ll be able to live the life I want is if my doctor finds a cute for my health issues and either I inherit a lot of money or I win the lottery. But if you’re going to create goals, make them SMART goals
Yes, goals should be well planned! Thanks for reading
